eco-friendly vehicle technology and new eco-friendly energy technology. Hyundai and Kia Motors’ is working hard together with its suppliers to develop advanced eco-friendly technology. Using its proprietary hybrid technology, it launched the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and Kia Optima Hybrid
in 2011. In 2013, Hyundai launched the world’s first mass-produced fuel cell electric vehicle Tucson FCEV, and the futuristic NEXO FCEV in 2018.
Based on its innovative and competitive automobile technology, Hyundai Motor Group has launched a model for every eco-friendly vehicle technology, including Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), Electric Vehicles (EV) and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV). The Hyundai Motor Group’s technological prowess will enable it to launch a total of 44 eco-friendly vehicle models by 2025.
