    Hyundai Traffic Safety Program
    HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY
    For the top priority of our CSR strategy - safety, HMCIS developed the Hyundai Safe Road
    Traffic Safety Program for kids and parents in 2016.

    Unique Road Traffic Safety Education for Russian Children Hyundai Safe Road Traffic Safety Program is a child safety education program supported by the Education Ministry and the Federal road Police. The program comprises of 20 lessons and extra tasks, five master classes for parents, a course for educators teaching how to execute a kindergarten Program, unique contents for all participants, 360-degree monitoring, and a program for children(2 years). Special traffic safety events, such as the Traffic Safery Corner, were also held by HMCIS. The program promotes a systematic approach to traffic safety, a decrease in the number of deaths caused by road traffic, and suggestions by the Russian Ministry of Education and Road Police

    Bike KIA
    KIA MOTORS CORPORATION
    Bike KIA is a project to build and repair bicycle paths along the parks and lakes near the factory in Slovakia.
    It is the focal CSR project of the Slovakia factory.

    Bicycle Path for the Future Kia Motor Corporation has focused on bicycles as an alternative to motor vehicles for commuting and has recognized that bicycles are especially popular among younger generations. With recent interest in health and the environment, we realized the need for safe, private roads, so we started to build bicycle paths. The Slovakia plant is building a new 5km-long bicycle path annually, and is also involved in the 34km bike path project of the provincial government and aims to connect all paths by 2020.

    Eco Day

    Eco Day events consider not only mutual growth with the region but also cooperation
    with the community in terms of protecting the local natural environment.

    Creating a Better Future with Eco Day Eco Day of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) was held for the sixth time on October 14, 2017 near the local HMMC factory. The event was organized in the form of direct participation and contribution of employees to the improvement of the environment of Horni Domaslavice and Nizni Lhoty. In the first visit to Horni Domaslavice, the employees and their families planted 45 trees around the kindergarten to improve the surrounding forest environment, along with the maintenance of facilities around the playground for local children.
    The team then moved to Nizni Lhoty and wrapped up the event by planting 150 shrubs and two large trees around a playground in the heart of town. Eco Day is an event where HMMC employees and citizens of the local community get together to share meaningful time together and lead the way to improving the environmental protection of the local community.
    Under the slogan ‘We work together to help nature‘, HMMC is actively promoting environmental improvement activities for the local community as well as mutual cooperation between the employees of the HMMC plant and the citizens of neighboring communities.

    Sponsorship of Korean War Veterans

    We express our gratitude and honor to the Korean War veterans and contribute
    to the cultivation of Korea-Turkey ties through continued support.

    Giving Thanks to Our Brothers Turkey is the country that connects Asia and Europe and is the ninth country with which Korea has concluded a free trade agreement. The relationship between Korea and Turkey has the special meaning of ‘brotherhood’beyond mere economic partnership. During the Korean War, Turkey dispatched its troops four times, and after the armistice, it carried out restoration projects for Korean society, including construction and education. Thanks to Turkey and its veterans, Hyundai Motor offers discounted cars to its war veterans and their families, and invites them to the “Iftar (fasting dinner)” during Ramadan. Hyundai has also visited the homes of veterans and has invited veterans to the Hyundai Motor factory. We also visited military units in Turkey and invited them to the factory. We also encourage Hyundai Motor Group employees to visit the veterans’ cemetery, capture video footage and display it to the Veterans’ Society and visitors to the factory.

    Stand Up To Cancer

    Stand Up To Cancer is an annual fundraising campaign that brings the UK
    together to accelerate progress in life-saving cancer research.

    Attracting Attention to Cancer Research Brought to you by Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and Channel 4, Stand Up To Cancer is an annual fundraising campaign that brings the UK together to accelerate progress in life-saving cancer research. Stand Up To Cancer takes developments in the labs and accelerates them into brand new tests and treatments for cancer patients who need them right now. Originating in the USA, Stand Up To Cancer launched in the UK in 2012 backed by a host of celebrities, with all intent placed on showing cancer who’s boss.

    Participatory Donation through a Special IONIQ Hyundai Motor UK (HMUK) has thought long and hard about how to find a more convenient and more interesting method of donation that catches people’s attention. The result was the creation of the world’s first tap-to-donate Contactless Car – a specially modified Hyundai IONIQ Electric. Five devices gathered from donated funds are installed on the outside of the IONIQ, specially created to support Stand Up To Cancer. When a debit card is tapped on these devices, a donation is collected, and the accumulated donations are displayed on an LED number board. The donor can jump in the car, take a selfie and pin it to the exterior with hundreds of photos of people who have participated far and wide. These small contributions are gathered quickly so people can participate in the donation together, and HMUK’s idea stands out because donors can enjoy having their faces covering this special car.
