Chairman Mong-Koo Chung to Participate in On-Site Management
- Visits Kia Motors’ Sohari plant & leads activities in production-quality improvement
- Emphasizes the importance of attaining the goal of producing 1.1 million vehicles this year
From the beginning of this year, Chairman Mong-Koo Chung has been endeavoring hard to implement on-site management. After inspecting production lines of the Sohari plant on January 6th, Chairman Chung encouraged workers and asked them to strive hard to maximize production and improve quality. He also stressed that attaining the targeted production of 1.1 million vehicles depended largely on the workers at the production field, and vowed to return to customers with good quality vehicles. Officials at the Kia Motors explained that this visit implied that Chairman Chung placed more priority on the plant workers, which will enable the company to accomplish its projected production of 1.1 million vehicles (450,000 in domestic market and 650,000 in export market). He also remarked that Chairman Chung showed his determination to do his best by working hand in hand with field workers.
