Kia Motors Co., Ltd. is to strengthen the overseas market A/S.
In order to achieve the customer satisfaction, enhancement of corporate image and accomplishment of target sales in the overseas market where the 60% of total sales revenue is made, it will have the full-scale maintenance road show and year-round service clinic with the 700 dealers in the 140 countries.
Regard to this matter, Kia had the ceremony of commencing the overseas service teams that are headed to all over the world with the attendance of relevant executives at Sohari Plant in the morning of the 15th.
The touring maintenance road show that is implemented from the 15th to the end of June with the subject of 200 dealers in 40 countries including the North America, Europe, Middle East countries is comprised with the total of 40 mechanics with 8 teams for each region. For all the visiting locations, the quality improvement matters are explained on the exported vehicle and hold the quality conference. And they will perform the on-site education on the diagnosis of the main breakdowns and technique of repair on high degree of difficulty and understand the maintenance and part related problems that the local dealers experienced with.
The quality information collected on the site is reported immediately to the quality situation office of the head-quarter, and it plans to publish ‘While Book on Maintenance’ containing the general maintenance and main quality status.
The year-round service clinic that is undertaken for the 500 dealers in 100 under-developed countries in Central and South America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and Eastern Europe and CIS countries shall have the skilled mechanics dispatched to the problem areas to perform the customer services. Along with that, they have the joint service with the local agencies, on-site maintenance education, free inspection and promotion event and others.
An official at Overseas Service Office of Kia Motors explained that this overseas service "publicizes the aggressive service activities of Kia through the on-site A/S support and prompt feedback on the A/S problems in the local market to improve the corporate image as well as the sales growth.”
Kia implements on a continuing basis for the ‘Service Conference’ and ‘Quality Meeting’on each overseas region to find out the maintenance work and quality related works as well as to discuss the improvement direction through the agencies and quality service related employees.
