The Kia Magentis has won the Best Family Car award in the Annual Scottish Car of the Year Awards. Launched in July this year, Kia Magentis beat established high profile competition to win this prestigious award.
Kia뭩 executive saloon received the title Best Family Car at the annual AA/Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW) Scottish Car of the Year 2001 awards ceremony held at Stirling Castle on 19 October. Voted the winner by 17 leading Scottish motoring writers, the Kia Magentis faced tough competition from Honda Civic and Renault Laguna.
Commenting on Kia뭩 success, President of the ASMW Jim Dunn said, 밫he Kia Magentis is a remarkably competent and worthy winner of this hotly contested category. The car offers exceptional value-for-money and shows that less well known manufacturers can compete head-to-head with the big names.?
Kia뭩 flagship Magentis saloon has enhanced the manufacturer뭩 growing reputation for launching well-engineered cars at affordable prices and at the same time taken the brand to a new level of refinement and luxury. Available from ?2995, Magentis is powered by a smooth 2.5-litre V6 engine, while standard equipment includes air conditioning, remote central locking and boot release, single CD player, ABS system with EBD (electronic brake force distribution), alloy wheels, front fog lights and an alarm. The LX is available either with a manual five-speed gearbox or an advanced Sports H-matic automatic gearbox.
