Real value of Kia cars is shown off in the overseas markets.
Kia Motors disclosed on December 5th that all November exports totaled show
61,658 cars breaking down into 45,387 finished cars and l6,280 units on knock-down basis, which is the highest monthly record achieved thus far. The highest export monthly record of 59,784 cars before November of this year was achieved in September of this year and this figure for November of this year represents 10% increase over October of this year and 27% increase over November of last year.
Kia Motors added that last month’s export ratio was close to 70%, which, put in other words, means that Kia Motors’ total sales volume for November of this year is 94,897 cars and the number of exported cars was 61,658 units accounting for over 68% of the total sales. This achievement by Kia Motors draws attention especially in view of the global economy suddenly shrunk and consumers’ interest shrunk after the September 11th Terror Attack.
Several causes can be cited for such achievement by Kia Motors.
Firstly, a variety of models were offered for the markets.
Kia Motors’ main models for the markets up to 1999 were limited only to Sephia and Sportage. However, the current models offered in the markets include almost all models including Rio, Spectra, Optima, Carnival, Carens and thus offer a wide range of choices for the customers.
Secondly, the quality of cars has been even further enhanced.
The management and all the employees of Kia Motos have been concentrating on further improving quality of cars for the last two years and as a result, now Kia Motors proudly offers quality as high as any competing car maker, which has been widely acclaimed by customers all over the world.
Thirdly, Kia Motors has substantially intensified all of its regional marketing capability. Kia Motors has made investments and provided training on a continuing basis for improvements of the regional sales network and the marketing capability of local dealers.
Kia Motors has its strategy for 2002 to introduce new models including the top of the line 4 wheel drive Sport-Utility Vehicle ‘Sorento’ in the market and to further strengthen the regional marketing capability to attain high speed growth.
