Amco has become one of the few construction companies that has acquired standardization certificates simultaneously in three categories.
Amco (Representative: Kim Chang-hee. www.amco.co.kr) announced on December 29 that it obtained both ISO 9001, a certificate for quality, and ISO 14001, a certificate for environmental protection, from LRQA-Korea, an agency based in Britain, as well as the OHSAS 18001, a certificate for safety and public health. These certificates were created and recognized by standards institutes of various nations around the world.
These feats indicate that Amco has raised its operational capabilities to international standards, hence equipping itself with global competitiveness eness.
ISO 9001 and 14001, and OHSAS 18001 are granted only to those who meet exacting standards for product quality, environmental protection and safety that were set by the International Organization for Standardization, and the Global Standards Institute. Amco was awarded the certificates after one year of preparation.
