- To nurture key human resources, the company sets 1:1 mentor/mentee between senior and junior employees - A workshop on the mentoring system was held on January 25, in which mentor-mentee pairing was made. - The new system is expected to help newly hired employees with a bachelor’s degree adopt themselves earlier to the company and enhance their business function skills.
“We introduced the mentoring system to help newly hired employees with a bachelor’s degree adopt themselves earlier to the company and enhance their business function skills.” “This is part of our strategies to develop key human resources under the enterprise goal of transforming ourselves into a world-class full-spectrum construction company.”
At a workshop on the mentoring system held at Bluemonte Youth Hostel in Anyang on January 25, President of Amco, Kim Chang-hee (Representative: Kim Chang-hee. www.amco.co.kr) said above. He added that by encouraging senior and junior employees to respect each other and developing capabilities of new hires earlier on, the company will build a good image as Hyundai Motor Group’s construction company.
During his speech, President Kim said, “Since the company has both entry-level employees, who joined the company late last year, and those, who had built their career in other large construction firms, a horizontal organizational culture, if institutionalized earlier, could help us to become more flexible than any other construction companies, while maximizing synergies generated by senior and junior level employees.”
The one-on-one mentoring subjecting the company’s new entry-level employees with a bachelor’s degree will be implemented for three months during and after business hours. In particular, through spontaneous meetings between the newly-hired and existing employees, the juniors could share the senior’ know-how for life at Amco organizations and experiences.
Mentoring is a system designed to help junior employees accustom themselves to a company in a short period of time, by matching them with a selected senior model employee at assistant manager or manager level.
