On February 27, Amco(Representative Director: Kim Chang-hee. www.amco.co.kr) invited representatives of 73 suppliers to the Bluemonte Youth Hostel in Anyang to discuss ways to promote mutual benefit.
A total of about 120 persons from 73 suppliers participated in the discussions, including nearly 50 Amco officials.
The discussions were designed to emphasize the significance of transparent and ethical management and devise ways to enhance synergies between Amco and its suppliers. During the event, Amco presented certificates of appreciation and prizes to the best suppliers of each field for their contribution, and had candid discussions with representatives of suppliers and its field superintendents.
In his speech, President Kim proposed “to overcome challenges in and out of the company with a solid spirit of co-existence and joint development with suppliers.” To this end, he asked “to pay attention to helping suppliers secure technological prowess, increase their cost competitiveness and build cooperative organizational culture, so that Amco could build a cooperative/organic ties with them.
Among the total of 72 suppliers that participated in the event, eleven was selected as the best suppliers and granted with a certificate of appreciation and a contribution medal. The businesses were selected for Construction category (Daemyung Gunyoung, Daechung Gongyoung, Son international and Hwirim Construction); civil engineering cetegory (Daeyang Industrial Development, and Woongjin Develop); electricity category (Daedong Technology Group, and Duchangegyejeon); facility category (Duhyung Engineering, and Youngwoo Corporation); landscaping (Chunwoo Landscaping).
The selection was made by Amco’s awardee selection committee based on the significance of suppliers’ fields, their revenue performance, management status, technology levels, construction and engineering project implementation capability.
Meanwhile, during the discussions, Amco agreed with the suppliers ▲ to build a system to provide prompt assistance to the field ▲ enhance settlement procedures and ▲ actively review and improve the system to raise materials costs by devising price increase criteria. The end.
