Britain’s top-selling weekly car magazine, Auto Express, has awarded the Hyundai i30 ‘Best Compact Family Car’ for in its 2010 Driver Power survey. Celebrating its landmark tenth year, Auto Express’ Driver Power is the UK’s most respected and influential car reliability and satisfaction survey. Over 23,000 readers responded to questions related to all aspects of the ownership experience, including reliability, running costs and comfort.
The 2011 results confirm Hyundai i30 remains unbeatable in its class. Finishing ahead of the Volkswagen Golf and the Mazda 3, the i30 delivered high levels of performance and economy coupled with excellent comfort and reliability.
In the ultra-competitive Compact Family Car class, i30 owners voted the Hyundai into first place with an overall score of 88.46, well ahead of the survey average of 83.76.
Drivers were asked to rate their car out of five across ten key areas of ownership. The rising cost of fuel, insurance and other motoring essentials brought into sharp focus the failings of many newer models.
Overall the Hyundai brand ranked fourth in the overall manufacturer ratings behind Skoda, Lexus and Jaguar.
“This is yet another great result for the i30,” said Oliver Mann, Director of Marketing, Hyundai Motor Company Australia. “In Australia, i30 has always performed strongly in local awards such as Australia’s Best Cars, by offering an unbeatable package of driving pleasure, safety features, high quality and low running costs”.
