Volunteer efforts of Hyundai E&C’s executives and staff members reach out to nurture future soccer players and give Philippine children a chance to receive education and medical care. On July 22, Hyundai E&C delivered a donation of about 530 million won collected by the company’s executives and staff members to the Community Chest of Korea located in Jeong-dong, Seoul. About 9,000 executives and staff members of Hyundai E&C, Hyundai Engineering, Hyundai Engineering & Steel Industries, Hyundai Architects & Engineers Associates, Hyundai C&I, Hyundai Seosan Farm and Human Resource Development Institute voluntarily have collected a certain amount of monthly salary for a year. According to choices of the donators, the donated money will be used to support young soccer players from underprivileged backgrounds (42.5 percent), help disaster relief activities for this year (27.3 percent), grant medical expenses to physically challenged people (18.7 percent), build a center for education and medical care for Philippine people (6.6 percent) and build a center for people from multicultural backgrounds (4.8 percent). In addition, Korea’s primary builder held a welcoming ceremony for volunteers tasked to deliver lunch boxes to poorlyfed children on July 25 in the ChildFund Korea located in Mukyo-dong, Seoul.
