- New hires are on a one-week training course at partner companies - This event will offer opportunities to understand the manufacturing process and communicate with partner companies - Sharing work experiences and difficulties is expected to intensify mutual growth with partner companies
MOBIS is providing new hires recruited in the first half of this year with an opportunity to work at manufacturing sites at partner companies from November 28 to December 2. About 20 new employees at R&D, purchasing, quality assurance and product development, in collaboration with the partner companies, are participating in this one-week experiential course at the site.
This event is designed to increase understanding of their work through practical site work at relevant affiliates and strengthen mutual cooperation with them.
This program is offered at 5 partner companies such as Hwashin, Plakor, Namyang Industrial, Inzi Controls and MCNEX. Participants are required to experience work processes at the sites, write a business log on a daily basis and hold meetings with relevant officials at partner companies to identify factors to be improved. The company will review such reports and apply them to business practices.
In particular, the meetings participated in by new starts as well as executives at MOBIS and production and administration workers at partner companies are expected to serve as opportunities to intensify relationships with partner companies by allowing them to share difficulties in addressing their work and seek improvement in manufacturing processes.
Lim Su-han of the Lamp Design Team who participated in the practical course at Plakor in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, which specializes in the production of plastic exterior and interior car parts, said, “The training provided in the headquarters focuses on theory. I feel this site training broadened my perspectives of work and allowed me to realize that the understanding of work at partner companies and building relationships are crucial in dealing with production.”
MOBIS plans to consistently conduct the site training course for new employees and expand the number of participating affiliates. In addition, it will make efforts to improve the quality of the program and strengthen mutual cooperation with partner companies by actively reviewing reports on improvement methods prepared from the perspective of new hires.
Go Dong-Rok, head of the HRD team, said, “This site training was prepared to assure new employees of the importance of shared growth with partner companies from the early period of their employment. Particularly, the participating companies are ones with internal stability and advanced technology accumulated over the past 40 years in the domestic automotive industry. Therefore, they will provide our new hires with good opportunities to experience and learn their know-how.”
MOBIS has been conducting a wide range of programs designed to promote mutual growth and establish a win-win cooperation system with partner companies. One of the representative programs includes conducting overseas auto parts road shows accompanied by its partner businesses, which are intended to help the partner companies make inroads into overseas markets and promote the superiority of Korean-made auto parts to overseas finished car manufacturers. This is a benchmark program for excellent partner companies and that is designed to assist the manufacturing and quality assurance of the partner companies, and an R&D technology forum intended to assist their technical growth.
