The philosophy behind the development efforts of Hyundai Motor Group for autonomous driving is
to provide universal safety to more customers and deliver optional convenience functions in response to their demands.
Hyundai Motor Group will be together with you in realizing the autonomous driving technology that you imagine.

Active Safety, Keeping Itself Safe for Itself
Car safety features were originally designed to protect the driver and passengers in an accident.
Now, they are evolving to help the drivers to prevent these accidents from occurring in the first place.
The ultimate product of this technology is ADAS, or Advanced Driver Assistance System, which warns the driver when it detects a danger of accident and operates the brake or steering wheel.
To realize the vision of Universal Safety, Hyundai Motor Group is developing various technologies to be applied to production vehicles, so that their safety level can be enhanced while preparing for true autonomous driving.

  • Rear Cross-traffic Collision-avoidance Assist
    (RCCA)
    A parking safety system that warns the driver of an incoming vehicle in order to avoid collision when driving out the parked car backward.

  • Parking Collision-avoidance Assist-Reverse
    (PCA-R)
    A parking safety system that warns the driver about incoming pedestrians behind the car or other obstacles when parking or driving out. This system is capable of intervening and activating the brake.

  • High Beam Assist
    (HBA)
    A driving safety system the controls the operation of the high-beam feature of the vehicle in order to maintain visual of the road ahead while preventing blocking the vision of other drivers at night times or low-light situations.

  • Low Beam Assist
    (LBA)
    A driving safety system that operates the additional lamps and direction of the low-beam to secure visibility in front of the vehicle at night times and low-light conditions.
