Future Mobility

Hyundai Motor Group is morphing into a smart mobility solutions provider to give our customers greater value and innovative mobility experiences, as the age of future mobility dawns. We plan to combine advanced technologies with the technical know-how in automobile manufacturing that we have accumulated over decades to accelerate our smart mobility development.

The Group’s journey to change the way we move, connect and live with novel mobility solutions has already begun. The Group is developing Purpose Built Vehicles (PBVs) to fit the purpose of human and object mobility and plans to launch a dedicated PBV model with a skateboard platform in 2025. We are also pushing the boundaries of mobility in new areas, including speeding up the development of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) air vehicle to extend mobility to the sky. In addition, we plan to give mobility to objects and offer unrestricted mobility experiences to our customers via robotics research, to support human welfare and convenience.

The Group will go further by developing technologies that allow future mobility devices to be interconnected under a single urban operating system, creating a mobility ecosystem that enables self-driving, in order to establish itself as a leading mobility service provider.
