December 15, 2025 – Kia is proud to announce that the all-new Kia EV4, earned the highest 5-star rating in the Latin NCAP safety tests. This recognition reaffirms Kia's commitment to safety, innovation and sustainable mobility for its customers in Latin America and the world.
The Kia EV4, produced at Kia AutoLand's plant in Zilina, Slovakia and at Kia Gwangmyeong EVO Plant in Korea, combines bold design with advanced active and passive safety technologies. Thanks to its architecture based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV4 offers an optimized structure for occupant protection and energy efficiency.
The model was evaluated by Latin NCAP in frontal impact, side impact, pole side impact, whiplash, pedestrian protection, ESC, AEB VRU, AEB City, AEB Intercity, Speed Assist System, Lane Assist System and Blind Spot Detection. With a strong performance from AEB VRU, pedestrian protection and VRU achieved the necessary points for a five-star result. Active safety showed good scores explained by the good performance and standardization of AEB and LSS, and the almost standard BSD.
"This achievement reflects our dedication to delivering vehicles that not only lead to innovation and electrification but also ensure the highest standards of safety for our customers," said David Palm, Product Head Kia Central and South America. "The 5-star rating in Latin NCAP reinforces confidence in the EV4 as a safe and responsible option for those seeking electric mobility."
The Kia EV4 incorporates advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), multiple airbags, electronic stability control and technologies that comply with the strictest international protocols. In addition, its structural design and lightweight materials, such as the aluminum hood, contribute to greater protection in the event of an impact.
This recognition adds to the milestone achieved by the brand with the Kia K3 and Kia K4 models that have managed to obtain, like the KIA EV4, the maximum 5-star rating awarded by Latin NCAP.
Kia brings this model to Latin America reinforcing Kia’s commitment to expand electric lineup in the region.
