SEOUL, July 24, 2026 – Hyundai Motor Group (The Group) today announced the launch of AllDayEnergy, its new global Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) energy services.

AllDayEnergy brings the Group’s existing V2X services together under a single global identity, providing customers with a consistent and trusted experience across different markets and service types.

The service will initially cover V1G smart charging, before Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H). The Group will begin rolling out AllDayEnergy in the UK via the Kia App in the second quarter of 2026, with planned expansion to Europe, the U.S., and Korea.

“When we launch AllDayEnergy through our Kia App later this year, we will be taking a significant step towards establishing our identity as a smart energy service provider. We will continue to expand our AllDayEnergy service globally, allowing customers to seamlessly optimize their energy usage, reduce their energy costs, and contribute to grid sustainability.”Woong Tae Hwang, Vice President and Head of the EV Energy Strategy Group at Hyundai Motor Group

What is AllDayEnergy?

AllDayEnergy is the Group's unified global services that connect electric vehicle (EV) batteries with homes and electricity grids.

V2X technology enables bidirectional energy flow between an electric vehicle and the grid. This means an EV can act as a mobile energy storage system, rather than simply consuming electricity through charging.

Customers can charge their vehicles when electricity costs are lower, then use the stored energy later or supply it to an external system when needed. Depending on the market and service type, this can help customers manage charging costs, support household energy needs, and participate in energy programs offered by electric utilities.

By bringing these services under the AllDayEnergy name, the Group will establish a common experience across its global V2X portfolio.

Which Services Will AllDayEnergy Represent?

AllDayEnergy will bring together several types of energy services:

  • V1G: Adjusts the timing of vehicle charging in response to real-time electricity prices, grid conditions and customer preferences.
  • V2G: Enables an EV battery to return energy to the grid when required.
  • V2H: Allows energy stored in an EV battery to support household electricity needs, including backup power during power outages.

The Group has already developed and operated V2X services in several regions.

In Korea, the Group is piloting V2G technology in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. In the U.S., it has deployed V2H services that provide emergency household backup power during events such as major wildfires. In the Netherlands, it has introduced V2G and smart charging services that optimize vehicle charging in response to dynamic electricity prices.

How can customers access AllDayEnergy?

AllDayEnergy services will be integrated into the vehicle apps of Hyundai Motor and Kia. Initial rollout will begin in UK Kia App, when the service is a𝖽𝖽ed later this year. The Group will expand the service to additional markets.

The name AllDayEnergy reflects the Group's vision of making smart energy management an integral part of customers' daily lives and advancing its transition into a smart energy solutions provider.
