The EV6 is equipped with a high-density, high-efficiency battery along with a high-voltage system to increase the driving range. The EV6 long-range model equipped with a 77.4kWh battery can travel up to 475km on a single charge (2WD, 19-inch wheels, no built-in Cam, certified by the Ministry of Industry). With just one charge of this battery, it is enough to drive from Seoul to Haenam Ttangkeut Village (about 430 km). For reference, the driving range of the EV6 based on WLTP is 528 km (long-range, 2WD, 19-inch wheels).

EV6 is not only excellent in charging performance but also in terms of efficiency. When using the super-fast charger, it can travel more than 100 km (based on WLTP) with just 4 minutes and 30 seconds of charging, and this can charge the EV6 from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. As such, the EV6 provides drivers with a more relaxed and easy life with a significantly shorter charging time compared to current electric vehicles.

E-GMP, the basis of EV6, is equipped with the world's first multi-rapid-charging system. EV6 is compatible with both 800V high-speed charging and mainstream 400V fast-charging without needing a special adapter. In addition, EV6 offers various charging conveniences such as a multi-charging system and automatic charging and charging system (PnC, Plug & Charge).

The wheelbase of EV6 is 2,900mm, which was possible because of the efficient design of E-GMP. E-GMP has the advantage of being able to flexibly change the battery module and body size according to the characteristics of the vehicle with a modular structure. A vehicle with a long wheelbase is easy to implement a dynamic and visually stabilized design, which is the reason why EV6 has such a long wheelbase to get along with the dynamic characteristics of the EV6. The EV6 has a cargo space of up to 520 liters (VDA) thanks to the EV-exclusive platform with excellent space utilization. This is the result of the consummate design of the EV6's sporty crossover-style body and E-GMP. In addition, additional storage space was secured with the front trunk inside the front hood.

Another difference between EV6 and conventional electric vehicles is the utilization of V2L (Vehicle To Load) technology. In simple terms, V2L is to use the battery of an electric vehicle as an energy source. The V2L technology installed in the EV6 operates through the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) and the vehicle charging management system (VCMS), which are unique characteristics of E-GMP. Therefore, it is convenient to use 110-220V general power without additional devices. In addition, it can be used to charge other electric vehicles, so it is a very useful technology in various situations. This is a function that could not be experienced in an internal combustion engine vehicle, and it is a technology that can see the potential of electric vehicles that can be used not only as a means of transportation but also as an energy pack in the future.

The EV6 with V2L technology can also be used as an Energy Storage System (ESS) at home. It provides 3.6 kW of power, which is higher than the average hourly electricity consumption of a typical household, so you can use all the electronic devices used in your home. For example, it is possible to watch a 55-inch TV for 24 hours with the air conditioner that fits 600 square feet house turned on. As such, EV6 is expected to provide high utility in daily life as well as outdoor activities such as camping by using various gadgets.

The EV6 cabin is made of eco-friendly interior materials. For example, the door map pockets and floor mats are made from recycled plastic waste, and the Nappa leather seats are made from flaxseed extract. Above all, the biggest feature is that EV6 houses recycled materials equivalent to more than 75 500ml-sized water bottles (PET). In this way, EV6 showed what sustainable mobility is by using eco-friendly materials from the production process.

The Horizon sound, which was completed under the exclusive DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology of the British high-end audio brand Meridian, provides a sound close to the original sound without distortion.
Kia's Meridian sound system, first introduced with the K8, supports a total of three sound modes. This allows the driver to set up a three-dimensional and spatial sense of space according to their taste. The EV6 will also provide a more luxurious acoustic experience to its occupants through a speaker design and configuration optimized for the cabin.

The EV6 GT with a 430kW-dual motor is a high-performance model that maintains the excellent efficiency and utility of a dedicated electric vehicle. It delivers robust power of 584 horsepower and 75.5 kgf·m of maximum torque to all four wheels, accelerating from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Considering that it takes about 4 seconds for a person to breathe, the EV6 GT literally reaches 100 km/h in one breath.
In addition, the EV6 GT completed a dynamic exterior with 21-inch wheels and high-performance tires. In addition, to support powerful performance, various driving-related technologies such as Electronic-Limited Slip Differential (e-LSD) and Electronic Control Suspension (ECS) have been applied to realize optimal movement by maximizing the power of the dual motors. The EV6 GT will be officially launched in the second half of 2022.
